Founded by developer and financier Christian Salceda in 2005, Silicon Bay Development™ (“SBD”) is a full service luxury home builder and developer based in Manhattan Beach, CA. SBD’s offerings range from simple construction management to a turnkey offering that includes conceptual design, architecture, entitlements, construction and interior furnishings. We are focused on creating unique, challenging, luxury custom homes that reflect cutting edge design and superior craftsmanship through a completely transparent framework.
SBD’s core team members have worked together for more than a decade and have over 60 years’ of experience. Collectively, the SBD Team has designed and developed well over 100 homes, ranging in construction cost from $1M to $100M+. Our team brings the professionalism, skill and project management expected of a large scale commercial company to the luxury residential market. The organization and the knowledge of the SBD Team and the processes put in place is what set us apart – we offer the expert management, documentation and control that is hard to find in the residential arena.

Christian Salceda is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Silicon Bay Development. Christian is also the CEO of 5th Street Capital, Inc.
Ryan Schlee, President
Ryan Schlee, President of Silicon Bay Development, has more than a decade of experience in the high-end, luxury custom home industry.
Previously, Ryan worked for Peter McCoy Construction, where he managed several single family new construction projects in the Beverly Hills and Bel-Air neighborhoods ranging in value from $20M to $100M. Prior to that, Ryan worked for Turner Construction Co. and was most notably involved with the construction of Terranea Resort & Spa, a 360 room hotel, spa, and golf course in Rancho Palos Verdes. Ryan’s commercial construction background allows him to bring the ornate detail involved in managing projects of this stature to the luxury residential estate industry. His previous projects have been featured on the cover of the Robb Report as the “2011 Ultimate Home of the Year” and on the cover of the Wall Street Journal.
Ryan graduated from California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Urban Planning and Development with a Minor in Construction Management & Real Property Development.
